Directly across the road from Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon is a famous Diamond Beach. The icebergs floating in the glacier lagoon make their way out to sea and some of them wash up on the beach.

The contrast of glittering icebergs in the sun sitting on a black sand beach is how this place came to be named "Diamond Beach". The size of the icebergs can range from the size of your hand to the size of a car! It's incredible to walk among them and it's a great place to snap some photos and videos.

No matter how many times I come here, I always find myself mesmerized by the waves smashing up against the icebergs in the water and on shore.
