This easy, family-friendly hike takes you past four waterfalls that tumble into an ancient granite crevice.

High Falls Gorge is one of the easiest hikes in Lake Placid and one of the best spots for waterfall photography.

The hike is only 0.5 miles and there are sturdy bridges, glass floor walkways, and well-maintained paths that lead you through the gorge.

Visit in the spring to see the waterfalls at their most powerful, in autumn for fall foliage, or in the winter to experience the spectacular ice formations that form in the gorge.

High Falls Gorge is privately owned, so you do have to pay an entrance fee. Entrance fees are subject to change, so click here for most up to date information before you go.
