The Adirondack Rail Trail is a multi-use trail that currently stretches more than 30 miles between Lake Placid, Saranac Lake, and Tupper Lake, following a former railroad corridor through the heart of the Adirondacks.

While you can tackle the entire route in a day, you don't need to commit to all 30+ miles to enjoy it. Download the free app to help plan your trip!

Don't have a bike? No problem. Rent one from High Peaks Cyclery and use Bike ADK's shuttle service to transport you and your bike between trailheads. We rode th to transport you and your bike between trailheads.

We rode the 9 mile section from the Floodwood Trailhead into Tupper Lake and thought it was the most scenic stretch of the trail, with beautiful forest views, wetlands, and plenty of opportunities to stop and take photos along the way.
