Miradouro do Ponta da Ladeira on the north-western coast of Madeira is a prime sunset spot for sightseers. With stunning views of the Atlantic ocean, the coastline and Fajã da Quebrada Nova in the distance, it's an idyllic spot to catch some incredible photos of this beautiful scenery during sunset. It's one of the best spots on the island to witness a vibrant sky as the sun dips below the horizon - with many claiming the colors are a 'bomb' of reds, oranges and pinks. The dirt path down to the viewpoint can be slippery so proper footwear is recommended; however, it's a small price to pay for being able to experience such an amazing sky.
