Ropojansko Lake, also known as Snake Lake, is a seasonal glacial lake located in the Ropojan Valley at around 1300 meters above sea level, right on the border between Montenegro and Albania. Surrounded by the dramatic jagged peaks of the Prokletije mountains, the lake is famous for its unusual seasonal character — it fills with clear emerald water in spring and after heavy rainfall, but completely dries up by the end of summer.
