Arashiyama is a beautiful experience that I highly recommend you decide to do when you're in Kyoto. However, it's super popular so I'd advise you to get the earliest train in the morning to enjoy the nature with the least amount of people. However, we got there at 11am and despite the crowds we still enjoyed it to the fullest.
