Like so many things in Albania, this mosque breathes history. Built in the early 16th century by a famous ottoman architect called Sinan, it's now a protected cultural heritage of Albania. During the dictatorship, all religious buildings in the country were destroyed but this mosque managed to survive because it was turned into a museum for architecture by the people of Vlora.
