Neuschwanstein Castle, located in Bavaria, Germany, is a 19th-century palace perched on a hill near the Alps. Built by King Ludwig II as a retreat and tribute to composer Richard Wagner, the castle remains unfinished since the king's death in 1886. Despite its incomplete state, Neuschwanstein has become a popular tourist attraction, drawing millions of visitors annually to admire its picturesque Romanesque Revival architecture and stunning mountain backdrop.
