I used to come to Lauttasaari especially during winter and spring time when I was living nearby years ago. In winter the sea is still partly open and on very cold days, you are able to witness and photograph one of the coolest phenomena: sea smoke. You can find many different bird species to photography around the year and see the sunset over water. I used to walk the sea shore close to Sisä-Hattu island, to me that was the best location to start with!
