EN🇬🇧 Continuing on Highway 1, the famous longest state road in California that runs along the sea, from Capitola Beach to the south you will meet the town of Monterey. Located on the peninsula of the same name, it was the capital of Mexican California before its annexation to the United States. Also here as in San Francisco at Fisherman's Wharf lives a colony of sea lions. If you have time, it might be worth a stop.
