A ponta sul da Roosevelt Island é, provavelmente, a mais visitada pelos turistas, mas a ponta norte também reserva muita beleza e um farol de quinze metros de altura. Foi construído em 1872 com pedra extraída da ilha. O Farol foi projetado por James Renwick Jr., arquiteto do Smallpox Hospital, que também fica na ilha.
