The Yves Saint Laurent Museum in Marrakesh is a contemporary museum dedicated to the life and creative work of the legendary French fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent. It is located right next to the famous Jardin Majorelle, one of the most visited cultural sites in Morocco, in a district closely linked to the designer’s life and inspiration.
The building itself is a major highlight: a modern architectural design by Studio KO, combining minimalist forms with traditional Moroccan craftsmanship, especially in its brick façade and geometric patterns. Inside, the museum presents an extensive collection of Saint Laurent’s haute couture pieces, sketches, accessories and personal archives.
The exhibition is carefully curated to show how Morocco influenced his color palette, fabrics, and silhouettes - making the museum not just about fashion, but also about the cultural exchange between Europe and Morocco.
Beyond the exhibition halls, the museum also includes a bookshop, café, research library, and spaces for temporary exhibitions, making it a full cultural center rather than just a display space.
