Ksamil is one of the most famous beach destinations in Albania, known for its bright turquoise water, small sandy beaches and beautiful views of the nearby islands just off the coast. It’s one of those places that instantly feels tropical, especially on a sunny day when the water is calm and crystal clear. The area is made for beach days, swimming, sunbeds, seafood lunches, and hopping between different beach clubs and small bays. During summer, Ksamil gets very lively and can feel busy, but the water really is stunning and the setting is perfect for a classic Albanian Riviera beach stop. It’s also a great base for combining beach time with nearby spots like Butrint National Park.
Very popular in July and August
Can get crowded and expensive in peak season
Honest tip
Ksamil is absolutely beautiful, but it’s best if you manage expectations in peak summer. Go early, avoid the busiest midday hours if possible, and consider shoulder season if you want the same stunning water with a much better overall experience.
