Casablanca is Morocco’s largest city and its main economic hub, located along the Atlantic coast.

The city is especially known for its Art Deco architecture, a legacy of the French protectorate era, which can still be seen in districts like the city center around Mohammed V Square. Alongside this, Casablanca also features modern skyscrapers, luxury hotels, shopping areas and a growing café culture.

One of the most iconic landmarks is the Hassan II Mosque, dramatically built partly over the Atlantic Ocean, making it one of the most impressive religious structures in the world. The city also offers a lively coastline with beaches, promenades and ocean views.

Casablanca is less about sightseeing in the traditional sense and more about experiencing Morocco - a mix of history, commerce, architecture and coastal city life.
