Himarë is one of the best places to stay on the Albanian Riviera if you want a beach destination that still feels relaxed and easygoing. Compared to busier spots further south, it has a more balanced atmosphere with a nice mix of local life, beach bars, restaurants and access to some of the most beautiful beaches along the coast. The town itself has a long beach, a lively but not overwhelming promenade, and a great selection of places to eat and stay. What makes Himarë especially good is that it works perfectly as a base for exploring nearby beaches like Livadhi, Jale, Gjipe, Filikuri, or Llamani, while still having enough going on in the evening for sunset drinks and dinner by the sea. It’s one of those places that feels easy to settle into for a few days.
