The Aït Benhaddou Bridge is the main entrance leading into the famous UNESCO-listed ksar of Aït Benhaddou. Crossing the bridge is part of the experience itself, as it gives you the first full panoramic view of the ancient mud-brick village rising above the riverbank.

This is the official and easiest main access point into the ksar. Some smaller side entrances around the village may ask visitors for unofficial fees or “local guide” payments, while entering through the main bridge area is usually straightforward and free.

Before the modern bridge existed, visitors crossed the river using stepping stones, which can still sometimes be seen depending on water levels. Today, the bridge provides easy access while still preserving the dramatic first impression of the ksar surrounded by desert landscapes and red hills.
