Himara Old Town sits above the modern coastal town and feels like a quiet hillside village made of stone houses, narrow paths and traditional Albanian-Riviera architecture. It’s much calmer than the beach area and gives a more authentic, local feeling of the region.

The old town is built on a slope, so walking through it means climbing small stone streets between old houses, small courtyards and viewpoints. Parts are partly abandoned, while others are still lived in, which creates a mix of charm and slight decay.

From the upper parts, you also get nice views over the coastline and the Ionian Sea, especially in the late afternoon.
