Bacha Coffee is one of Marrakech’s most iconic café experiences, located inside the stunning Dar El Bacha Palace in the Medina. The place combines history, architecture and coffee culture in a way that feels more like stepping into a museum salon than a typical café.
Originally associated with the early 20th-century palace, the space is now beautifully restored, featuring intricate zellige tiles, carved cedar wood ceilings, stained glass and elegant courtyards. The atmosphere is calm, refined and highly aesthetic - one of the most photogenic interiors in Marrakech.
The concept focuses entirely on 100% Arabica coffee from around the world, with over 200 varieties served in an elegant, ritual-like style. Guests choose from a detailed menu of single-origin coffees, often paired with pastries or light bites. It’s less about grabbing a quick coffee and more about the full sensory experience of taste, setting and presentation.
However, because of its popularity, visiting requires patience. In high season, people often queue 30–60 minutes before opening, and at midday waiting times can reach up to 3 hours. Despite this, the courtyard atmosphere remains surprisingly calm once inside, even when full.
