Setti Fatma is a small but very lively mountain village in the Ourika Valley, about 1–1.5 hours from Marrakech. It sits at the base of the Atlas Mountains and acts as the main starting point for hikes to the famous Setti Fatma waterfalls.

The village itself is quite tourist-oriented, especially compared to other rural Atlas settlements. Along the main road and river area, you’ll find restaurants, cafés, souvenir shops, and parking areas, all catering to day-trippers coming from Marrakech.

Despite being busy, the setting is still beautiful: the valley is surrounded by steep green and rocky mountain walls, and the river runs right through the village, creating a constant background sound of flowing water. From here, the landscape quickly becomes more natural as soon as you start walking upstream toward the waterfalls.

  • Busy on weekends and holidays
