The panoramic viewpoint above Aït Ben Haddou is one of the most iconic photo and viewing spots in southern Morocco. It sits on the hill opposite the famous UNESCO-listed ksar and offers a full cinematic view over the entire clay-built village, the Ounila River valley and the surrounding desert landscape.

From here, you get the classic postcard perspective: the ancient mud-brick kasbah rising from the earth, surrounded by arid hills and open space. It’s especially magical at sunrise or sunset, when the warm light turns the entire landscape golden-red and highlights the textures of the old fortress walls.
