Norris Geyser Basin in Yellowstone National Park is the hottest, oldest, and most dynamic thermal area in the park. It boasts acidic geysers and ever-changing features due to seismic activity and water fluctuations. You can stroll along boardwalks through Porcelain Basin and Back Basin to witness colorful hot springs, fumaroles, and the world's tallest geyser, Steamboat Geyser. (Major 300 ft. eruptions are unpredictable and can be many years apart. Minor eruptions are more frequent, reaching 6-40 feet and lasting 1-4 minutes, with intervals of 2-5 minutes) Don't miss the Roaring Mountain with its hissing fumaroles. And if you're lucky, you might spot black bears, grizzlies, or even sagebrush lizards in this unique geothermal wonderland.
