Schoolroom Glacier is a small glacier located in Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming. Sitting at an altitude of 10,400 feet, this glacier has all the classic glacier features like moraines, crevasses, and a proglacial lake. Unfortunately, like many glaciers around the world, Schoolroom Glacier has been shrinking for years and is expected to disappear by 2030 if things don't change. So, if you want to see it, better hurry up before it melts away!

To hike there, after you get off the Jenny Lake boat: head up and into Cascade Canyon; a little over 4 miles later, take a left at the fork of the canyon (taking a right will take you to Lake Solitude instead.) From there begins a 5 mile uphill climb towards Schoolroom Glacier. Even with taking the boat, this is a very strenuous, 18 mi RT out and back hike with almost 4,000 ft of elevation gain.

The lake isn't fully melted out until later in the summer, so keep that in mind!
