The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building in Shinjuku is a popular spot to catch some awesome views of Tokyo for free. With two observation decks at 202 meters high, visitors can snap pics of iconic landmarks like Mount Fuji and the Tokyo Skytree.

Just be aware there could be a line so if you plan to go for sunset plan ahead. Our line was about 30-45min & we just missed the sunset. But it was amazing to see the city light up as it got darker.
