Mammoth Hot Springs is a massive complex of hot springs in Yellowstone National Park, known for its stunning travertine terraces formed by mineral deposits over thousands of years. The hot water comes from Norris Geyser Basin and flows through limestone before surfacing at Mammoth, creating colorful algae-covered pools. The area shows evidence of glacial activity and features unique thermal formations like Minerva Terrace. Due to recent seismic activity, some terraces have dried up, but the site remains a must-see natural wonder for visitors exploring Yellowstone's geothermal wonders.
