String Lake was absolutely gorgeous and the warmest lake that we swam in! There were lots of families there and lots of people paddle boarding and kayaking! The lake is pretty much right next to the parking lot, so no hiking required unless you want to walk around the lake. There are bathrooms near the parking lot where you can change too.
