The Botanical Garden of the University of Ljubljana, established in 1810, is facing threats to its existence due to railway expansion plans that would encroach on its grounds for the second time since 1974. A petition has been launched to preserve the garden in its current state and fulfill promises made regarding a new location. The garden hosts various events, such as the upcoming Flower Sunday celebration and Earth Day activities. Additionally, it showcases a diverse range of plant species, including early bloomers like the Easter flower and Japanese cherry blossoms.
