Ammassalik Museum is a cozy local museum located in Tasiilaq, Greenland. Housed in the old church of the city, it showcases cultural history and features unique exhibits like the oldest known tupilaq from East Greenland. Visitors can explore the Photo Museum, library, and smaller buildings like the Turf House to get a glimpse into life 130 years ago. With a collection of over 10,000 photos from the 1960s-80s, the museum also participates in the Roots2Share project, digitally preserving Greenlandic heritage. So, if you're ever in Tasiilaq, swing by for a dose of history and culture!
