Udon-bo Osaka Honten is a Michelin Guide & Bib Gourmand restaurant known for its authentic Sanuki udon noodles.

The owner-chef brings flavors from his hometown of Takamatsu to the table, using 100% handmade noodles made with wheat and water from Kagawa Prefecture.

This spot is hidden away underground in a basement arcade on the 2nd floor below Osaka Station Building 3. You can get to this arcade by navigating through the tunnels connecting the train station or enter from above ground.

Once you are able to find the restaurant you will find probably one of the best bowl of Udon noodles that you will have in Osaka. Although they have an english menu available luckily it does not seem to get super overwhelmed by tourists.

There will usually be a line at lunch, but the line moves fast as they will take your order whilst you are waiting in-line.

The most popular menu item is their tempura with either warm or cold udon noodles which will come as no surprise to you after you taste their perfected tempura.

They also have a limited availability white miso soup udon noodles is also a must try but you will have to come early.

With a cozy counter and table dining setup, this spot is perfect for a cheap yet perfect udon experience in the heart of Osaka.
