Skansen Kronan is a 17th century fortress that sits atop of a hill overlooking Gothenburg's city centre. While you aren't able to tour the fortress (it is used exclusively for private events), it offers the best views of city.

If you're looking to spend an afternoon in the sun, bring a picnic here and just enjoy the colourful rooftop views.
