How does the public transport works in Stockholm?
More about the public transport network and tickets.

Public transport in Stockholm is managed by SL. I recommend downloading the SL app before arriving in Stockholm. In the app, you can plan your trips and buy tickets, including single tickets as well as 24-hour, 72-hour, and 7-day passes.
Another option is to use a rechargeable SL card (green card), which can be purchased at Pressbyrån, 7-Eleven, or SL service points in metro stations, and then loaded with a period ticket.
If you only need a single journey ticket, you can pay directly by tapping a contactless debit or credit card or a mobile wallet. A single ticket is valid for 75 minutes and allows unlimited transfers during that time.
Each traveler must use their own payment card or device, unless you purchase a group ticket for multiple people in the SL app. For the most up-to-date ticket information and fares, visit sl.se.
