Spirit Island, located on Maligne Lake in Jasper National Park, is a super famous spot that's not actually an island most of the time. It's like a hidden gem surrounded by stunning mountains and emerald-colored water. The Stoney Nakoda First Nation considers it a spiritual place.

One of the most popular activities on Maligne Lake and Spirit Island is to hop on a Maligne Lake boat tour run by the Pursuit Collective. The hour and a half panoramic cruise heads to Spirit Island 14 km up the lake. It’s around a half-hour to the island where guests get 15 minutes off of the boat for photos before the return journey.
