The Eiffel Tower is a wrought iron lattice tower on Champ de Mars in Paris, France. It is named after the engineer Gustave Eiffel, whose company designed and built the tower. It is a global cultural icon of France and one of the most recognizable structures in the world. The Eiffel Tower is the most visited monument in the world.

Each year, renovation and maintenance work is being done on the top floor of the Eiffel Tower, resulting in its temporary closure to the public. This is required to maintain this symbolic monument of Paris!

Tip: Up the tower, it gets windy so dress accordingly. Also, watch out for pickpockets in this area in general. It is not dangerous just very touristy so many people trying to take advantage of that.
