One of the finest royal chapels built in France, The Holy Chapel has a truly remarkable collection of stained glass. It was built by Louis IX in the mid-13th century on the Palais de la Cité to house the relics of Christ's Passion. Adorned with a unique collection of 15 glass panels and rose windows that form a veritable wall of light, the Sainte-Chapelle is a jewel of Gothic architecture.
