Ujigami Shrine, located in Uji near the Tale of Genji Museum, is believed to be the oldest standing shrine in Japan. It's got that ancient charm and historical significance, dating back to around 1060. The main hall boasts a unique curved roof that provides shelter for worshipers. You can easily reach it by taking a short walk from Keihan Uji Station or JR Uji Station. Plus, admission is free, so you can soak up some history without breaking the bank!
