Tranquil day to explore the city

Granada, Spain

After an energising breakfast, why not making the most of the morning excitement to discover the Cathedral and the Royal Chapel? These two monuments are a must (especially Royal chapel), and you will definitely squeeze the most out of them on a guided tour, but if that's too much for your kids, know that you have an audioguide included with your ticket, which you can get as you enter any of the monuments.

The estimated duration visiting both churches on your own is around 1,5 hour (2,5 with a guide) and then it's time to wander! On the itinerary I recommend to not miss the Alcaiceria, which is around the corner. After that, you will be right at Granada's core, so there are multiple options to have lunch: Los Manueles, Carmela, bar Aliatar are just a few local options nearby. Have a look at Olearium, recommended on the itinerary, where you will be able to experience an olive oil tasting!

For the afternoon, a stroll around the authentic Granada quarters, walking down calle Recogidas and heading towards Parque Federico García Lorca could be a great idea. There are multiple family run businesses nearby for dinner, such as Poetas Andaluces (traditional Spanish food), Rincon de Rodri (seafood) or Il Gondoliere (Italian food).
