Hidirlik Tower is an ancient Roman-era tower located at the edge of Kaleiçi, where the old town meets the Mediterranean cliffs. Dating back to the 2nd century AD, the structure is believed to have served as either a watchtower or a lighthouse.
Built with large stone blocks and rising from a square base into a cylindrical upper section, the tower reflects classic Roman military architecture. Although its exact original function remains debated, its strategic position overlooking the sea suggests it played an important defensive role.
Today, Hidirlik Tower is one of the best sunset viewpoints in Antalya. From the surrounding terrace area, you can enjoy panoramic views of the Mediterranean, the Beydağları mountains, and the old harbor below. Street musicians and a relaxed evening atmosphere make it a popular gathering spot.
