This was maybe the best moment of my life. Finally climbing a 4000er peak in Switzerland. The Breithorn is at 4'164 m.a.s.l. In perfect weather, we climbed our first 4’000-metre peak and experienced some of the most spectacular panorama including the views of the one and only Matterhorn

This is a tour you can do as beginner but always keep in mind to book it with the local Tourguides. We did it with Zermatters and highly recommend it.

The ascent takes up to 2 hours and descent 1 hour. It's not as steep but since you can truly feel the altitude. At no time I felt unsafe with the tourguide. He explained us everything in detail and also helped us with the crampons etc.
