This is maybe one of my favorite lake hikes. Not only is the view fantastic but I find the trail itself very pleasing. I do recommend to take the cable car from Kandersteg up to the top and start the hike from there. On this Heubergweg you'll reach a soon a point where the trail go in different directions (15min). There you should take the one going left up (it's the scenic trail) towards Berghaus Oberbärgli. After 45 minutes you'll find many absolutely fantastic and photogenic spots and I feel the further you hike, the prettier it gets :)

And the Berghaus Oberbärgli you can take a break and try out the delicious Swiss food platters. Or if do not want to spend money you can hike already downwards and there is a beauiful field with cows and flowers to take a rest on the benches.

The way back along the lake is not as scenic but nonetheless at last you get rewarded. You can either take a swim in the lake or rent a boat to paddle along :)
