We left the car at 47°34.21197'N, 15°48.83605'E because we came in November and the road up to the top was closed (there was still way too much snow for cars to pass even if you were well equipped for winter roads) but you can easily get up there off winter season😊. Be ready to pay a small fee (cash needed in most places like this one in Austria, very few accept card payments or are people-operated).🚙
We were really happy tho because we wanted to go for a hike anyway😊It’s a great place for a walk, you will be up in about an 1,5h if you are an average fast hiker.
There are many wild animals tho (deer 🦌 , hare 🐇, boars 🐗) so be careful if you hike with a dog who loves to chase and run off🙏🏻.
You will have beautiful views from the top and there are many spots to take great photos and videos at!📸
You can also go skiing or alpine skiing🎿 if you come in winter but don’t worry if you wanna go just for a hike, you can easily get up without any equipment, it’s even beginner friendly (yes, even in winter months) if you follow the green/red trail.
You can watch beautiful sunrises and sunsets from there and the trail is safe to ascend and descend even in dark so a simple headlight will do for sure!🌅🌄
There are no alpine streams along the way so make sure to bring enough water! 💧
We hiked up here 47°34.45526'N, 15°47.46435'E but you can hike further if this seems rather short!
