Tucked away in the quiet, leafy Maggiolina neighborhood, you'll find one of Milan's most charming architectural quirks: the igloo houses. Stroll down Via Lepanto to see these unique, circular homes, designed by Mario Cavallè in 1946 as a quick solution for families displaced after the war. While they are private residences and can only be admired from the street, their whimsical design and the story behind them offer a delightful detour and a glimpse into a creative chapter of Milan's history.
