Bjarnarflag is the oldest geothermal power station in Iceland, located near Námaskarð in the north of the country. It has been powering the Mývatn region for almost fifty years and is known for its connection to the Mývatn Nature Baths. Due to its location in the rift valley, it has experienced some closures for maintenance after earthquakes. Visitors can explore this area on a self-drive tour and check out nearby attractions like Námaskarð and the Myvatn Nature Baths.
