Message from Misha Martin

Hjálparfoss is a picturesque waterfall located in the south of Iceland, nestled in the lava fields near the Hekla volcano. It consists of two cascades where the rivers Fossá and Þjórsá meet, creating a stunning natural spectacle. Accessible via a gravel road off Route 32, this hidden gem is surrounded by basalt columns and offers a tranquil setting for visitors to enjoy. Just downstream from Hjálparfoss is the Búrfellsstöð hydroelectric power station, adding a modern touch to this enchanting Icelandic landscape.
