Here is our 3 Night Itinerary for the Summer Solstice Mountain Bonfires in Austria.
Here is a summary of the itinerary:
Day 1 - Arrive and check in to your hotel. We've outlined some hotel options in the Tips section.
Day 2 - Take the Ehrwalder Almbahn Cable Car one way, grab a local lunch at the Gasthof Ehrwalder Alm, walk around clear blue lakes (Igel See OR Seebensee) and walk the way down to the base of the cable car. Grab a drink at the Brent Alm. Feel free to do your groceries or dinner at a restaurant in town.
Day 3 (Summer Solstice Night 20June 2026)
You can take an optional day trip to Garmisch-Partenkirchen if you have a car since the event is not until late night.
In the evening, arrive early to as bonfires start around 9:30pm to secure your spot. Bring picnic blanket/camping chairs, jacket, snacks and drinks!
Day 4 - Check out of your hotel.
