Saria Island, also known as Saros in ancient times, is a rocky island located just north of Karpathos in Greece. In the past, it had a few residents, but nobody has lived on the island for many years. The island is known for its cliffs, limited plant and animal life, and the ruins of the ancient city of Nisyros. Despite its rugged terrain, Saria is a breeding ground for Eleonora's falcons.

From Karpathos, you can take a boat trip from Pigadia or Diafani to this gorgeous island. And if you´re looking to do a boat trip when staying on Karpathos, this is the one we'd 100% recommend doing!

During your trip, you can enjoy the beautiful beach(es) and if you're into history don't forget to check out the ruins of the ancient city when you're at Palatia Beach.
