Ceramic and terracotta production has been a big tradition in Puglia for around 3000 years! Although the most famous ceramic town is Grottaglie, you'll found plenty of shops throughout central and southern Puglia. This one was one of my favorites to explore, though most shops showcase a good variety of items, including vases, plates, and decorative items, both traditional (like Pumi - flower buds that represent prosperity and good luck) and modern (my favorites have to the colorful balloons). The bigger and more intricate the piece, the pricier it is (obviously), but you can also purchase smaller items for 10-30 euros.
