💡 Good to know: Free admission if you’re under 25

During my time in Toronto, the Art Gallery of Ontario was one of my favorite visits. The building itself is impressive, especially the glass structures that let in tons of natural light. Some sections even offer beautiful views of the CN Tower and the city, which adds a lot to the experience.

Inside, the collection is huge and diverse. I particularly appreciated the Canadian artworks that showcase life in Canada from different eras—it really helps you understand the country’s history and identity through art. With over 90,000 works, you can easily spend a few hours here without getting bored.

Whether you’re into art or just looking for a calm and inspiring stop in the city, I highly recommend adding the AGO to your Toronto itinerary.
