Where Mountains Meet the Fjord
Parc national du Saguenay is one of those places that makes you feel small in the best possible way. Split between the two shores of the majestic Saguenay Fjord, this park is pure magic for hikers and nature lovers. The landscapes shift between towering cliffs, dense forests, and deep blue waters, offering some of the most impressive panoramas in Québec.
Among all the trails, my favorites were Le Sommet des Géants, which rewards you with breathtaking views over the fjord, and La Halte du Béluga, where you can take a break hoping to spot white belugas gliding through the water below. We weren’t lucky enough to see them this time — just a playful sea lion swimming near the cliffs — but the thrill of the wait made the moment just as special.
