Parc national du Bic is one of those places that perfectly captures the magic of QuĂ©bec’s maritime landscapes. Located along l’estuaire maritime du Saint-Laurent, it’s a park of dramatic cliffs, quiet coves, and impressive rock formations shaped by the tides. Whether you’re stopping on your way to GaspĂ©sie or spending a few days exploring, it’s a place worth stopping.

My favorite hikes here are Le Tour Cap-à-l’Orignal and Le Grand-Tour — both stunning but only accessible at low tide, which makes timing your visit part of the adventure. These routes take you off the main trails, across sharp coastal rocks, beaches, and forested paths. You’ll definitely need good shoes and a sense of adventure — the terrain is rugged, but the views are absolutely worth it.

If you’re lucky, you might even spot sea lions lounging on the surrounding rocks, basking in the sun as the tide rolls out.

A must-see stop if you’re road-tripping through the GaspĂ©sie, especially if you love coastal hikes, wildlife, and wide-open landscapes. đŸŠâ›°ïž
