🌞 Best season: Summer — warm days, golden sand, and endless views

Just a few minutes from the village, Les Dunes de Tadoussac offer a completely different kind of landscape — a stretch of golden sand surrounded by forest and views of the St. Lawrence River. It’s one of those unexpected spots that make Tadoussac so special, where the dunes meet the sea in a perfect contrast of colors and textures.

You can hike along the sandy trails, watch birds gliding above the cliffs, or simply run and jump down the dunes like a kid again (though fair warning — climbing back up is a real workout!). At the bottom, the cool river water is perfect for a refreshing swim after all that effort.

It’s also an ideal picnic spot, especially on warm summer afternoons when the sun hits the sand just right and the breeze keeps everything peaceful. Bring a blanket, some snacks, and take your time 🌾🌊
