Wat Suwan Kirikhet (Wat Karon) A small but beautiful temple in the back on Karon Beach. You'll find it by driving inland from the Karon circle. This temple frequently hosts markets and fun fairs.

Wat Suwan Kirikhet (aka Wat Karon) is a peaceful but awe-inspiring temple located just half a kilometer away from the Karon beach in Phuket. Established in 1895, this Buddhist temple complex has breathtaking architecture that combines both Chinese and Thai design elements. As visitors enter, they are welcomed by two giant Naga guardians who seem to protect the entire sanctuary. In the gardens are several statues of Buddha while inside lie 20 more! Visitors get a chance to experience meditation with monks and even enjoy local Thai cuisine at the lively market held on Tuesdays and Fridays. Take a break from the cliche tourist spots and pay a visit to Wat Suwan Kirikhet for a unique and tranquility-filled vacation.
